The doors open for May the 4th Comic-Con at the Portmagee Domes. Browse vendor stalls featuring comics, toys, and collectables from Heroes and Villains, Bronze Art Ireland, Skellig Skies, and Mari Rolan. Explore the various exhibits, gaming stations, and interactive displays that will run throughout the weekend.
The official festival opening ceremony featuring the premiere of a 360° Star Wars video experience in our special cinema dome. This immersive experience places you in the middle of a space battle. The festival directors will welcome all attendees and outline the exciting weekend ahead.
The opening night film premiere at Portmagee Domes, featuring a specially selected sci-fi film (to be confirmed). Following the screening, participate in a Q&A session with the filmmakers, offering unique insights into independent sci-fi cinema. This premiere sets the tone for the weekend's film programme.
Watch a choreographed lightsabre battle demonstration followed by a Star Wars character parade through Portmagee village. Meet characters from the Star Wars universe and capture photos with Stormtroopers and other iconic characters. A fun event for all ages celebrating the saga that was partly filmed on our doorstep.

Join us for a four-course dinner followed by the presentation of awards across 16 categories celebrating excellence in independent sci-fi filmmaking. Awards include Best Feature Film, Best International Short Film, Best Irish Short Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematographer, and more. After the ceremony, enjoy the after-party celebration with filmmakers and fellow sci-fi enthusiasts.
